Consulting & Training
In August 2005, Dallas received a call from her colleague and President of the Steering committee for the Alabama Chapter of the Tennessee Branch of the National Business Travel Association, Richard Davis. It seemed that he had recently been offered the challenge of General Manager for the HealthSouth Conference Center. Due to the political and financial restraints at the time, he had to be creative to bring on a seasoned professional and Dallas was the first and only person that came to mind.
Dallas joined the team at HealthSouth as a consultant to lead them in a strategic sales and marketing plan that included a name change, brand awareness, direct sales and marketing and target sales efforts in specific markets. Through this they conducted a Re Grand Opening in November 2005 to announce the new name "Cahaba Grand Conference Center". The plan also included a showcase event with "I DO" for Alabama Brides and SAKS 5TH Avenue to create "Grand Weddings" on March 5, 2006.
Dallas earned her Certified Meeting Professional designation in 2002 and was the 2006 ConferenceDirect "Rookie of the Year". She holds a BS in Hospitality and Tourism with a Minor in Marketing from the University of South Alabama.
Dallas' educational background as well as her current focus on higher learning helps her to keep abreast of the rapid changes that are characteristic of the hospitality industry. She has been featured as an industry expert offering advice in Hospitality and has been published in the business journals for the following cities; Birmingham, Nashville, Boston, and Ohio.
